About This Role
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the division's financial strategy and ensure accounting processes are followed.
  • Contribute to the annual budget process, including the preparation of reports for upper management.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts for all financial statements and provide analysis to support business decisions.
  • Support the integration of our growing Flight Services business unit and develop financial infrastructure to support the business.
  • Participate in the month-end close process, including the preparation of HFM journal entries.
  • Provide accounting analysis support to business units on various accounting issues.
  • Prepare monthly Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow variance analysis.
  • Interact with various groups (Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit, Corporate) to respond to inquiries.
  • Consult on new or changing business transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment.
  • Ensure all standard processes and policies are applied and transactions are correctly recorded.
  • Participate in special projects in collaboration with other teams.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of similar experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • Detailed-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with high initiative and autonomy.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business.
  • Comfortable dealing with accounting and financial transactions and issues.
  • Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of HFM and/or Oracle system is an asset.
  • Experience with M&A integrations and building financial planning and reporting infrastructure is an asset.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Bilingual (French and English) is an asset.
