Job Title: Motor Vehicle Supervisor

Davidson Contract Services is seeking a highly skilled Motor Vehicle Supervisor to join our team. As a Motor Vehicle Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our trucking fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are properly maintained and that our drivers are equipped to handle any situation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our trucking fleet, ensuring that all vehicles are properly maintained and that our drivers are equipped to handle any situation.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Supervise workers and projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities, ensuring that all deadlines are met and that our operations run smoothly.
  • Train or arrange for training, ensuring that our drivers and mechanics have the skills and knowledge they need to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Estimate costs and materials, ensuring that our operations are run in a cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, ensuring that our drivers and mechanics are safe and healthy.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring that we have everything we need to operate efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.
