As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing the administrative and business operations of Western Canada Theatre. This includes overseeing organizational finances, business development, facility management, and the Kamloops Live Box Office.

You will work closely with the Board of Directors and WCT staff to develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure the highest standards of fiscal, operational, and administrative excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing strategic plans to drive the company's growth and success.
  2. Managing the day-to-day operations of the theatre, including human resources, finance, and facilities.
  3. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, corporate sponsors, and community partners.
  4. Overseeing the management and operation of WCT facilities, including the Sagebrush Theatre, Pavilion Theatre, and Kelson Hall.

You will be responsible for generating and stewarding relationships with government agencies and corporate sponsors, including identifying and securing new funding sources and partnerships.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Building relationships with key local, provincial, and national government representatives, including the BC Arts Council and Canada Council.
  2. Creating partnerships and relationships to drive revenue and increase awareness of WCT in the community.
  3. Ensuring WCT represents and is accessible to the broad and diverse community.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Minimum five (5) years of senior management experience in a producing theatre organization or in the performing arts in general or multi-faceted, complex organization.
  2. Experience in theatre facilities management is an asset.
  3. An understanding of digital and social media as they relate to marketing and communications.
  4. Proven success in fundraising, including individual giving, foundations, corporate sponsorships, and government funding.
  5. Demonstrated understanding of and proven commitment to the values of equity, inclusion, and diversity with a track record of inclusive, strategic leadership and collaboration.
