Diagnostic Vascular Technologist Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Vascular Technologist to join our team at Fraser Health. In this role, you will work in collaboration with the vascular team to perform and assess non-invasive diagnostic tests on the vascular system.
Duties and Responsibilities- Receives and prepares patients for testing by reviewing patients' case history, correlating clinical history with examination to be performed, and explaining procedures to patients.
- Performs non-invasive diagnostic tests on the vascular system by operating continuous wave Doppler and/or plethysmography equipment.
- Assesses test results, records findings, and submits results and summary to physicians for review.
- Evaluates accuracy of diagnoses by performing correlation exercises and discussing procedures with medical and technical personnel.
- Requisitions equipment repair as required and performs quality control duties by scheduling and performing equipment tests.
- Graduation from a recognized North American Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography) plus 1 year recent related experience.
- Current certification with Sonography Canada or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Ability to demonstrate procedures, equipment, and techniques to clients and others, both individually or in groups.
This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate must have a strong ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and communicate effectively with others.
The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $83,000 - $110,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
