Welder Fabricator Position

We are currently seeking a skilled Welder-Fabricator to join our team at Pride Bodies Ltd., a Wabtec Company in Cambridge, Ontario. This role involves custom design and truck-body manufacturing and upfitting of utility, service, construction, railway, and other custom truck bodies.
**Job Description**: In this position, you will work daily in the Welding Department with the Welding Supervisor and a group of approximately 8 other Welders. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Upholding priorities of Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Teamwork;
- Performing work that is accurate and finished so that your internal customers, the Paint and Assembly Departments, can perform their work without disruption;
**Required Skills and Qualifications**: To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- A High School/GED diploma;
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance;
- Stamina and strength to perform manual labor; eagerness to learn on the job;
- Certified or willing to obtain CWB certification in aluminum and steel;
- Able to read blue-print drawings and interpret them along with weld symbols;
- Experience in welding/fabrication and fitting skills in aluminum and steel;
- Able to read tape measure correctly;
- Able to learn quickly and progress at a reasonable pace;
- Troubleshoot problems and take corrective action;

- A day shift with a 41-hour work week (7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. M-Th, 7 a.m. - Noon F);
