We are currently seeking a skilled Welder-Fabricator to join our team at Pride Bodies Ltd., a Wabtec Company in Cambridge, Ontario. This role involves custom design and truck-body manufacturing and upfitting of utility, service, construction, railway, and other custom truck bodies.

**Job Description**: In this position, you will work daily in the Welding Department with the Welding Supervisor and a group of approximately 8 other Welders. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Upholding priorities of Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Teamwork;
  • Performing work that is accurate and finished so that your internal customers, the Paint and Assembly Departments, can perform their work without disruption;

**Required Skills and Qualifications**: To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A High School/GED diploma;
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance;
  • Stamina and strength to perform manual labor; eagerness to learn on the job;
  • Certified or willing to obtain CWB certification in aluminum and steel;
  • Able to read blue-print drawings and interpret them along with weld symbols;
  • Experience in welding/fabrication and fitting skills in aluminum and steel;
  • Able to read tape measure correctly;
  • Able to learn quickly and progress at a reasonable pace;
  • Troubleshoot problems and take corrective action;
