About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Unit Aide at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the health and well-being of our patients.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of infection control principles and practices
  • Proficiency in computer programs and software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good judgment and initiative
  • Physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position
  • Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset

Hours of Work

This is a permanent part-time position, working 53% of full-time hours (39.75 hours bi-weekly).

Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $21.53, as well as eligibility for our comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
