Nutri Group Logistics Team Leader Role

We are looking for a skilled logistics team leader to oversee the daily operations of our logistics team. Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to food safety standards, coordinating daily tasks, planning pickups and deliveries, and mentoring team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Ensure that all food safety standards, practices, and regulations are met to guarantee the highest product quality for our customers.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the daily tasks of the logistics team to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Pickup and Delivery Planning: Plan and oversee pickups and deliveries to ensure optimal use of resources and minimize costs.
  • Maintenance and Equipment Management: Ensure that scheduled maintenance activities are completed on time and within budget, and that all equipment is clean and operated according to internal and regulatory safety standards.
  • Team Development and Training: Mentor and develop team members by setting clear expectations and holding them accountable.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary Education: Post-secondary education in logistics or a related field is an asset.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum three years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of successfully leading teams.
  • Logistics Experience: Minimum five years of experience in a logistics environment, with expertise in trucking, warehousing, and supply chain management.
  • Class 1 License: A Class 1 license is an asset.
  • Forklift and Warehouse Experience: Forklift and warehousing experience is required.
  • Physical Capability: Physically capable of handling warehouse operations and working in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Food Processing Experience: Experience working in a food processing plant is an asset.
  • 5S and Lean Principles: Knowledge of 5S methodology and Lean principles is an asset.
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards is an asset.
