About the Role

The Agile Centre of Excellence Lead is a key position within Aviva, responsible for driving the adoption and implementation of Agile principles and practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a roadmap for the Agile Centre of Excellence, aligning with Aviva's business objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Team Management: Hire, manage, coach, and develop a team of Scrum Masters, ensuring they have the necessary skills and expertise to support Agile delivery teams.
  • Agile Coaching: Provide coaching and training to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other key roles on Agile principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Transformation Support: Work with stakeholders to identify and address Agile-related challenges, providing guidance and support to ensure successful implementation.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Develop and track key Agile metrics, providing regular progress reports to stakeholders and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Consolidate learnings and best practices from Agile initiatives, sharing them across the organization to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Industry Representation: Represent Aviva at key Agile industry events and communities of practice, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in delivering Agile solutions, with a proven track record of leading 3-5 teams.
  • Agile Expertise: Expert understanding of Agile values and principles, with a focus on Scrum and other Agile frameworks.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business knowledge, with a focus on Insurance or Financial Services.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inspire individuals and teams to change and improve.
  • Certifications: CSM, PSM, and SAFe certifications are required, with a strong desire to learn and explore new ideas.
