Job Title: Geological Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Geological Technician to join our team at Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Geological Technician will be responsible for conducting geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic, or oceanographic surveys, prospecting field trips, exploratory drilling, well logging, or underground mine survey programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct geological surveys and prospecting field trips to identify potential mineral deposits.
  • Prepare rock, mineral, or metal samples for analysis.
  • Assist in preparing rock, mineral, or metal samples for analysis.
  • Prepare notes, sketches, geological maps, and cross sections to document findings.
  • Operate GPS and other navigation equipment to collect data.
  • Use MS Office to analyze and present data.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
