ABOUT YOU


Reporting to Production Geological Technician, the core logger will perform his/her duties as a team member of the Mine Geology department and collaborate with other departments of the Company.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES


• Logging core and sample selection

• Downhole borehole surveys

• Ability to lift and carry ~ 50 lbs of core boxes

• Extended periods of time standing throughout the day

• Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants and all other applicable government standards and regulations.

• Properly use and follow the Five Point Safety System.

• Follow company policies and procedures.

• Have a good safe working attitude.

• Maintain database & records as pertaining to geology department (plans, sections (geology & assay) drilling logs, etc

• Carry out other tasks as required by the immediate supervisor


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A recognized geoscience degree
  • In process of completing geoscience degree will be considered
  • Experience using and/or interpreting various types of geological data.


Location and Logistics of the Role

This position is located at our Eagle River Mine location near Wawa, ON.

In this role, you will work a 14 days in / 14 days out therefore you will have meals and accommodations provided at our camp.
