Job Title: Geological Technician

We are seeking a skilled Geological Technician to join our team at Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. in a permanent position.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic, or oceanographic surveys, prospecting field trips, exploratory drilling, well logging, or underground mine survey programs. They will also prepare rock, mineral, or metal samples, assist in preparing samples, and prepare notes, sketches, geological maps, and cross sections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic, or oceanographic surveys, prospecting field trips, exploratory drilling, well logging, or underground mine survey programs
  • Prepare rock, mineral, or metal samples
  • Assist in preparing rock, mineral, or metal samples
  • Prepare notes, sketches, geological maps, and cross sections
  • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
  • MS Office
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Efficient interpersonal skills
