Transform Your Career as a Senior Geotechnical Design Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Geotechnical Design Specialist to join our dynamic team in Toronto or Sudbury. As a key member of our Mining Environmental Group, you will be responsible for leading the design of mine waste facilities, containment structures, and other geotechnical projects.

About the Role:

  • Lead the design of complex geotechnical projects, including mine waste management systems, dams, embankments, and slopes
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to challenging project requirements
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Mentor and guide junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry partners to drive business growth

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering with a strong track record of continued development
  • At least 10 years of experience in civil design, with a minimum of 5 years related to mine waste management projects
  • Background in geotechnical design, with expertise in dam design, earthworks, and construction
  • Experience in slope stability and seepage analysis, seismic analysis of dams, and related software packages
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
