Carpentry Specialist

A carpentry specialist at A TO Z FINISHING & CARPENTRY LTD is responsible for preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. This involves measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. The successful candidate will also fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, as well as survey building locations and levels. Additionally, they will supervise other workers, estimate costs and materials, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials
- Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Surveying building locations and levels
- Supervising other workers
- Estimating costs and materials
- Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures
- 1 to 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
The carpentry specialist will work in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial construction sites, as well as in the company's workshop. The successful candidate must be able to work in a physically demanding environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
