Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and schedule team members to ensure seamless operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of hockey and skating to provide expert advice to customers.
  • Direct the merchandising, promotions, cost controls, and sales targets for the Sports Shop.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual operating plan and contribute to the development of business strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve business objectives and drive revenue growth.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Retail Operations (preferred).
  • Completed high school education or equivalent.
  • Previous retail merchandising and sales experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrated hockey knowledge, computer skills, and cash handling experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and customers.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong skate sharpening skills.
  • Previous team supervision experience (preferred).
  • Previous experience within a sports/recreational environment (preferred).
