Angus Consulting Management Limited is seeking a highly experienced Director, Project Management to join our team in Toronto, ON.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the safe delivery of projects through effective risk management and leadership.
- Recruit and retain top talent for project delivery and future growth.
- Identify and specify project opportunities, driving business growth and revenue.
- Deliver contractual commitments on secured projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion.
- Manage and mitigate risks associated with each project, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Maximize profit through cost reductions and strategic subcontractor management.
- Develop and manage long-term opportunities, creating a pipeline of projects.
- Liaise with colleagues' managers to identify and pursue project opportunities.
- Develop and present bids, tenders, and proposals to secure new projects.
- Seek out innovative opportunities to generate projects through technology and relationship-building.
- Deliver supportive business communication, contributing to management team meetings and strategy development.
- Contribute to business unit strategy development, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Manage business unit forecast, ensuring accurate financial planning.
- Manage people issues and underperformance, promoting a positive work environment.
- Chair project review meetings, ensuring compliance with health and safety, legislation, and financial requirements.
- Recognized technical qualification in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, or similar.
- Degree-level qualification in Project/Construction Management, engineering, or architecture.
- Experience in creating, presenting, and managing bids, tenders, and proposals.
- Ability to travel and participate in training and business review.
- Accountability to the Business Unit Leader and Divisional Project Director.
- Generation of project opportunities through strong relationships with customers and site teams.
- Full P&L responsibility for the business unit.
- Compliance with ACML management policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with ACML health and safety policy and process.
