Line Cook

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at 2526629 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our kitchen staff. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Kitchen Operations: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and manage kitchen operations.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Recruitment and Hiring: Recruit and hire staff as needed.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment with a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and time management skills.
- Gratuities: Opportunities for gratuities and bonuses.
- Work Term: Permanent position with 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Work Language: English language required.
