Overview
As a Slot Attendant at Great Canadian Entertainment, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our slot machines. Reporting directly to the Manager, Slot Operation, your primary responsibilities will include providing exceptional customer service, resolving issues related to the machines, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for all patrons.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about slot machines, including their functionality and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide professional and courteous assistance to customers, addressing their concerns and resolving any issues promptly.
- Verify and process jackpot payouts, short pays, cancelled credits, and hand-pay transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Comply with company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and other significant financial transactions.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and reporting any incidents or hazards immediately.
- Perform hopper fills and other tasks as assigned by management.
- Familiarize yourself with business process documentation and internal control objectives related to your position and ensure alignment with specific internal control activities.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with occasional late-night shifts on weekend nights.
- Successfully obtain a Gaming License.
- Possess strong customer service skills, mathematical abilities, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in English; bilingualism is an asset.
- Hold Serving it Right Certification.
- Adaptable and flexible with the ability to adjust to changing circumstances.
Working Environment
Work in a dynamic casino environment with non-traditional working hours and regular exposure to gaming activities. Ensure you are comfortable standing for extended periods and adapt to changing priorities.
Compensation
The estimated salary for this position is between $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on industry standards and market rates in Victoria, considering the job requirements and the expected level of expertise.
