Nurse Care Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Beacon Hill Villa, a 80-bed Long Term Care site in downtown Victoria.
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality patient care and lead our care team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
About the Role:
- Assesses residents' needs and implements individualized care plans to maximize their quality of life.
- Supervises and coordinates the activities of care staff, ensuring that residents receive the highest level of care.
- Administers medications and treatments as per established standards and protocols.
- Provides direct care to residents as needed, and liaises with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintains accurate and confidential records of resident care and treatment.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved program for Nursing and current license with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as an RN.
- Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification and CPR.
- Previous experience in a long-term care facility an asset.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently and understand verbal and written instructions.
- Computer skills including the ability to navigate basic computer programs.
