Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at 2835220 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as supervising kitchen staff and helpers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Operations Management: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and available.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, ensuring that all equipment and surfaces are clean and sanitized.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment or equivalent experience.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant or cafeteria environment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation and kitchen operations.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Handling Heavy Loads: Physically handle heavy loads, including food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Physically Demanding: Perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and repetitive tasks.
