Key Responsibilities

As a Branch Manager at Assiniboine Credit Union, you will be responsible for building a strong advice culture focused on relationship banking. You will translate the credit union's annual business goals and objectives into effective strategies and performance targets for the branch and employees.

Leadership and Management
  • Train, coach, and empower employees to achieve their maximum potential.
  • Develop and lead a network of enthusiastic and accountable employees who support advice and service delivery excellence.
  • Responsible for creating a respectful environment that stimulates and guides employees to realize their maximum potential.
Problem-Solving and Communication
  • Resolve complex problems and member complaints to ensure the needs of members, employees, and the credit union are met.
  • Provide regular communication about ACU's vision, values, and strategic objectives to employees.
Financial Management
  • Lead branch annual operating budget activities.
  • Responsible for ensuring internal controls are adhered to, reporting is timely and accurate, and internal audit processes are followed.
Industry Knowledge and Qualifications

This position requires a post-secondary program in a related field, accompanied by 6 to 10 years of job-related experience. Over three years' experience in successfully leading a team within a financial institution is required. Continuing education and/or CFP/PFP designation would be considered an asset.

This role requires proven experience in relationship banking, leadership and management, strong credit skills, risk management, financial planning, credit union products and services, philosophies and principles, and credit union legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to work from Tuesday to Saturday every week to support branch operations.
