We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Joseph Brant Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing testing, calibration, and quality control procedures on reagents and equipment in our Core Laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform testing, calibration, and quality control procedures on reagents and equipment
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations and efficient test processing
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advances in laboratory technology and procedures
- Current CMLTO registration required
- Recent experience in a Core Laboratory setting required
- Strong working knowledge of Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to work in MS Windows-based environment
- Meditech Client Server LIS experience
- Recent related continuing education or equivalent
