About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Mr. Sub Barrie. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food preparation team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Train and develop the skills of our team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Operations Management
    • Establish and implement effective systems and procedures to manage our restaurant's operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and customer service.
    • Monitor and control costs, ensuring that our restaurant operates within budget and meets our financial targets.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that our customers receive exceptional service, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop the skills of our team members, ensuring that we have a high-performing and motivated team.
    • Provide regular feedback and coaching to help our team members improve their performance and achieve their goals.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the food service industry.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Safe Food Handling certificate.
Work Environment

Our restaurant is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and quality food. As a Restaurant Operations Manager, you will be required to work in a standing position for extended periods, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will also be required to work in a hot and noisy environment, with exposure to odours and wet/damp conditions.
