About the Role:

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited is seeking a skilled Labourer (Asphalt Division) to join our team. As an Asphalt Installation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of asphalt surfaces, including paving roads, parking lots, and driveways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of asphalt surfaces, including paving roads, parking lots, and driveways.
  • Measure and mark areas for asphalt installation, following blueprints and specifications.
  • Repair and patch damaged asphalt surfaces by cutting out damaged areas and replacing with fresh asphalt.
  • Assist in the mixing and application of asphalt materials, including aggregates, binders, and additives.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate and execute tasks efficiently.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years related experience, particularly in paving construction materials, equipment, and processes, or in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
  • Physically fit; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Own vehicle and reliable transportation.
  • Working hours may require some weekend and evening shifts.
