Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Raker to join our team at Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited. As an Asphalt Raker, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and even surface of asphalt roads and highways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Smooth and adjust surface irregularities, spread asphalt to proper grade and finishes before compaction
  • Responsible for finished product while enforcing proper safety and traffic precautions
  • Prepare road surfaces for hot asphalt material

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years related experience particularly on paving construction materials, equipment and processes
  • Valid drivers license and own transportation is required
  • Ability to work long periods of time and work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • May require weekend and evening shifts
