We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Brown Boys Framing Ltd. as a key member of our construction crew.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Build - Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, and create accurate drawings and specifications.
- Material Selection and Preparation - Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Structural Assembly - Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Finishing Touches - Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Site Management - Survey building locations and levels, and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Training and Development - Instruct apprentices and provide guidance and support to ensure they develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the role.
- Maintenance and Repair - Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
- Mentorship and Coaching - Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities, newcomers and/or refugees, youth, Veterans, Indigenous people, and mature workers.
- Language Support - Langue de travail: Anglais (English language support available).
- Work Schedule - Heures de travail: 40 hours per week.
