Job Title: Hospital Director of Operations

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as a Hospital Director of Operations at Maritime Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Centre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operations management, with a strong background in financial decision-making, leadership, and team development. They will be responsible for overseeing all hospital operations, including financial management, staff supervision, and client relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly oversee all hospital operations, including financial management, staff supervision, and client relations.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and improve hospital performance.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to ensure high-quality patient care and excellent client service.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Manage hospital finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with referring veterinarians, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and implement changes to improve hospital operations and patient care.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of progressive operational management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven track record of success in financial management, leadership, and team development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
