Job Summary

The Breakfast Server is a key member of the Century Group team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's breakfast program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador for Century Group, greeting guests in a friendly and warm manner, using the ten foot rule.
  • Set up and maintain the hotel's complimentary breakfast, ensuring a high level of quality and presentation.
  • Ensure the buffet area is clean and tidy, and tables are cleared and cleaned as soon as they become vacant.
  • Set up and refresh the lobby complimentary water and coffee station.
  • Responsible for the tear down and clean-up of breakfast, ensuring the area is clean and tidy.
  • Check on guest satisfaction and follow up on requests where possible and appropriate.
  • Provide service and set up of breakfast for morning meetings in the hotel function spaces.
  • Provide customer service through the completion of routine duties and tasks, and by following the close instructions of the Banquet Event Order.
  • Responsible for the set-up of function rooms as laid out in the detailed Banquet Event Order.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the property, the Ambassadors and guests when completing tasks.

Requirements

  • Serving it Right certificate is required.
  • Hepatitis A vaccination is mandatory.
  • Previous banquet experience is an asset.
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position, including lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts starting at 5:30am.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
