Position Summary

Reporting to the Banquet Manager, the Breakfast Server plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service during the hotel's breakfast service and catered events. This includes responsibilities for setup, service, and cleanup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests warmly, embodying the hospitality spirit of Century Group.
  • Prepare for early morning shifts, starting at 5:30am.
  • Efficiently set up the complimentary breakfast buffet, ensuring it is well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the buffet area throughout service.
  • Promptly clear and clean tables as they become available.
  • Prepare and maintain the outdoor dining area, ensuring cleanliness at all times.
  • Refresh the lobby's complimentary beverage stations.
  • Conduct thorough cleanup after breakfast service, ensuring all areas are tidy and presentable.
  • Keep the back-of-house workstations organized and clean.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to requests as needed.
  • Provide breakfast service for morning meetings held in hotel function spaces.
  • Follow detailed instructions outlined in the Banquet Event Order for service delivery.
  • Set up function rooms according to specifications in the Banquet Event Order.
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests and staff while performing duties.

Qualifications

  • A valid Serving it Right certificate is required.
  • Hepatitis A vaccination is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in banquet service is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies

  • Physical capability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts starting at 5:30am.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
