Pharmacy Technician Job Description

At Save-On-Foods, we're committed to providing exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience. As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive accurate and timely medication dispensing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and transcribe verbal prescriptions from practitioners
  • Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies
  • Verify prescription completeness and authenticity
  • Perform final checks on prepared prescriptions
  • Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently
  • Support and maintain dispensary and front store operations
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Adhere to merchandising programs, operational procedures, and company policies
  • Supervise Pharmacy Assistants and Clerks as needed
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Regulated Pharmacy Technician license
  • Good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC
  • Pharmacy dispensary experience or Kroll computer experience an asset
  • Chinese-speaking considered an asset
