Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with experience in environmental assessment planning and approvals to join our Impact Assessment and Permitting Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct policy research and analysis to inform project decisions
  • Draft and coordinate correspondence, including notices and response letters to stakeholders
  • Lead report compilation and drafting of summary documents
  • Coordinate public events, including open houses and meetings
  • Prepare displays and presentations for open houses and meetings
  • Coordinate with environmental specialists and review sub-consultant reports
  • Attend meetings and prepare meeting minutes or reports
  • Undertake proposal writing and development

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in environmental planning, environmental policy, environmental science, or a related discipline
  • Project experience in public and/or private sectors, including municipal infrastructure, transportation, transit, waste, and energy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people
  • Fluency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with Provincial and Federal Environmental Assessment legislation
  • Class G driver's license and access to a vehicle

This role requires a strong understanding of environmental assessment planning and approvals, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.
