Job Description:

As a Systems Administration Team Lead at PHSA, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to a team in a distributed and centralized computing environment. You will oversee the allocation of work, coaching, orientation, and training of staff, as well as scheduling and assisting with problem-resolution. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of BC Children's Research's enterprise server infrastructure and related systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven hands-on specialized project experience with Microsoft's infrastructure tools and technologies including Linux, VMWARE, CISCO, iSCSI/FC Storage Windows 2008/2012 server operating systems.
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of core Microsoft & Linux technologies and strategies, including technology design, implementation equipment and support functions related to Exchange, SMS, Visual Basic, IIS, Active Directory, SQL Server, DNS, VPNs and general networking.
  • Strong enterprise-level experience in the systems administration and implementation in a large-scale environment, including backup and recovery methods.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terminology.
