About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Rating Systems Programmer-Analyst to join our Actuarial - Commercial Lines Systems department. This individual will play a key role in supporting our growth and will be responsible for programming, editing, testing, and debugging algorithms and tables related to rating and underwriting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Improve and/or develop algorithms and tables related to rate changes to meet user needs.
  • Participate in all steps to ensure project completion by collaborating with and advising users, keeping to deadlines and communicating status reports.
  • Ensure that systems are optimal and meet business standards by providing analyses, suggestions, and evaluations.
  • Make recommendations to take part in the improvement of system development and maintenance processes.
  • Apply appropriate programming techniques to ensure data is accurate and valid and to facilitate maintenance for future changes and improvements.
  • Work in conjunction with Actuarial and IT.
  • Be responsible for projects or parts of projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science / Mathematics or another relevant field.
  • Relevant system programming experience, an asset.
  • Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry, an asset.
  • Knowledge of SAS and VBA, an asset.
  • Good analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Integrity.

  • Bilingualism (English-French).
