About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Rating Systems Analyst to join our Actuarial - Commercial Lines Systems department. This is a key role that will support our growth and contribute to the development of our rating systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, improve, and maintain algorithms and tables related to rating and underwriting, ensuring they meet user needs and are optimized for business standards.
  • Collaborate with users, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure project completion, meeting deadlines and communicating status reports.
  • Analyze and evaluate the potential impacts of changes to rating systems, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of system development and maintenance processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Apply programming techniques to ensure data accuracy and validity, facilitating maintenance for future changes and improvements.
  • Work closely with Actuarial and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and effective system performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Relevant system programming experience, preferably in the P&C insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of SAS and VBA is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Integrity, focus on excellence, and a customer-driven approach.
  • Bilingualism (English-French) is required.
