Assistant Banquets Manager

At Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Banquets Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Banquets Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our banquet services, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the overall success of our events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of banquet staff to deliver exceptional service and ensure seamless event execution
  • Develop and implement effective banquet operations procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with the Conference Services team to ensure a common vision and goals are shared
  • Work closely with clients, Conference Services, and Sales to develop new programs and services to offer a unique and personalized experience for all conference guests
  • Create and implement beverage menus within the department and work closely with the kitchen to create food menus
  • Ensure that all equipment, fixtures, and furniture of the department are kept in the best repair possible and are used in a safe and proper manner
  • Participate in the financial budgeting process of the department and establish clear priorities for operational and renovation capital expenditures
  • Develop and maintain a safety culture within the department and ensure departmental adherence to health and safety standards
  • Ensure the successful opening/closing of seasonal dining rooms and manage high-end/high-volume dining room operations
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Banquet Supervisor
  • Post-secondary degree in hospitality or food and beverage management an asset
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to handle numerous tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to delegate tasks to team members
  • Must have strong, proven leadership and management skills
