About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Store Supervisor to join our team at Cornerstone African Foodland Inc. As a Food Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Supervise and train our grocery clerks and shelf stockers to ensure they are providing excellent customer service and meeting sales targets.
  • Manage Inventory: Organize and maintain our inventory, ensuring that we have the right products on the shelves at the right time.
  • Resolve Issues: Resolve any issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help us make informed business decisions.
  • Lead by Example: Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of your work.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail store environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking, air-conditioned environment.
  • Work Setting: Retail service establishment, retail business, wholesale establishment/store.
