About the Role

The ERP Systems Administrator is a critical position within Smartrend Manufacturing Group, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This role requires a technically skilled and detail-oriented professional who can manage, maintain, and optimize our ERP systems to support business processes and meet the needs of various departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • ERP System Management: Manage and maintain the ERP system, ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively to meet the organization's needs.
  • System Audits and Compliance: Perform regular system audits to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company policies.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues, providing timely and effective support to end users.
  • Business Process Optimization: Collaborate with various departments to understand their ERP needs and customize the system to optimize business processes.
  • System Upgrades and Enhancements: Oversee system upgrades, patches, and new module implementations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Documentation and Training: Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including system configurations, processes, and user guides. Provide training and ongoing support to ERP users, ensuring they can utilize the system effectively.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and implement necessary improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Security and Access Management: Manage user access controls, roles, and permissions to maintain system security and compliance.
  • Disaster Recovery and Backup: Conduct regular system backups and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place and effective.
  • Project Participation: Participate in the planning and execution of ERP system projects, including new implementations, integrations, and upgrades.
  • Vendor and Consultant Collaboration: Work closely with external vendors and consultants to resolve complex issues and implement system enhancements.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting: Analyze and report on system performance metrics to management, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to ERP systems.
  • Third-Party Application Integration: Assist with the integration of third-party applications and tools with the ERP system to enhance functionality.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in ERP systems administration, preferably with experience in specific ERP software used by the company (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Business Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of business processes and how they integrate with ERP systems.
  • Customization and Configuration: Experience with system customization, configuration, and upgrades.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Independence and Initiative: Ability to work on-site independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • ERP Security and Access Management: Familiarity with ERP security practices and user access management or IAM frameworks.
  • Database Management: Proficiency in SQL and database management.
  • Webservices and RESTful APIs: Experience with Webservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Scripting Languages: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is an asset.
  • Software Development Methodologies: Experience in software development methodologies and lifecycles is an asset.
