A Visionary Leader for Indigenous Student Pathways
SFU invites individuals passionate about transforming Indigenous student pathways to apply for the role of Director, Indigenous Pathway Programs. This leader will collaborate with senior leadership, host Nations, faculties, and departments to create a strategic vision for Indigenous student pathways, focusing on the Indigenous University Pathway Program (IUPP). By supporting Indigenous learners and creating space for them, the Director will contribute significantly to advancing the university's commitment to truth and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate post-secondary Indigenous student programs, services, and policies.
- Provide expertise in recruitment, admissions, enrollment management, and academic policies that enhance quality post-secondary experiences.
- Apply sound judgment to promote positive social change for Indigenous people through program administration, promotion, and implementation.
- Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with community organizations, professional networks, and social networks in the Indigenous community.
Qualifications and Skills
- Masters degree in Education or a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- At least five years of experience in developing and implementing Indigenous pathway and bridging programs.
- Deep knowledge of Canadian post-secondary education, strategic enrolment management concepts, and academic policies.
- Excellent leadership, financial management, and supervisory skills.
- Ability to act as an advocate for Indigenous students, provide support in curriculum design, and deliver effective solutions in stressful situations.

About Us
