TCU Place is seeking a highly skilled Box Office Operations Coordinator to support the busy activity and personnel in our Box Office. Under the direction of the Client Services Sales Coordinator, this role performs a variety of customer service duties, business support initiatives, and administrative tasks. This is a temporary position with the potential to extend to permanent upon completion of the term.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for self-created events, including mailings, invoice preparation, and audits.
- Assist with show setup, group sales, and interaction with promoters and sponsoring clients.
- Sell tickets to customers in person, over the phone, and electronically, and provide support as needed.
- Prepare daily box office deposits and bi-weekly deposits for pickup by a third party.
- Troubleshoot box office software and devices, including scanners, POS, and Audience View software.
- Prepare show settlements using event management software (Ungerboeck) under the supervision of the Client Services Sales Coordinator.
- Oversee box office operations as a backup to the Client Services Sales Coordinator.
- Complete theatre event setup using event management software (Ungerboeck).
- Respond to telephone inquiries and assist with client requests and management requests.
Security Requirements:
- Acceptable current Criminal Record Check (CRC) upon offer of employment.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a post-secondary diploma from a recognized business or tourism field.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience working in the hospitality industry, conference, convention centre, or theatre industry, including experience with high-volume ticketing systems and cash-handling.
- Cash handling experience.
- Successful completion of a recognized customer-service training course or applicable experience.
