About the Role
Pizza Delight is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Service Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our restaurant staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.
Main Responsibilities
- Apply health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment;
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and WHMIS guidelines;
- Organize and maintain a clean and efficient work area;
- Clear and reset tables in the dining room;
- Wash and put away dishes;
- Supply service areas with necessary items;
- Take reservations and greet take-out counter guests;
- Present menus, make suggestions, and answer questions about food and beverages;
- Use sales techniques to promote menu items;
- Take orders and transmit them to the kitchen staff through the POS system;
- Prepare and serve beverages, wines, liquors, and cocktails according to Pizza Delight's customer service protocol;
- Prepare and serve desserts;
- Serve meals and ensure quality service in the dining room;
- Prepare bills for meals and/or beverages, receive payments, and balance daily financial transactions;
- Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Experience in restaurant operations;
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to adapt to changing situations;
- Good personal grooming and a positive attitude;
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.

As a Food Service Team Member, you can expect to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. The work environment can be noisy and intense during mealtimes, and you will be expected to maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency.
