Job Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at BCCH. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with Therapists to provide high-quality patient care, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting patients with their daily needs, including setting up treatment equipment, preparing patients for therapy sessions, and maintaining accurate records. You will also have the opportunity to participate in group activities, such as gym groups and cooking classes, to support patient engagement and motivation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with transfers, dressing, and undressing as required
  • Set up treatment equipment and prepare patients for therapy sessions
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Participate in group activities to support patient engagement and motivation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant Program or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
