Job Overview
The Safety Advisor is a key member of the Lindsay Construction team, responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and promoting a strong safety culture on-site. This role is ideal for an individual who excels in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities
The Safety Advisor will be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and regulations in Atlantic Canada
- Promoting a strong safety culture on-site and working with team members, trade partners, and stakeholders
- Providing insight into the company's health and safety program and making continuous improvements
- Conducting safety training and maintaining safety training records
- Conducting comprehensive hazard assessments and formal site inspections
- Participating in recording monthly safety statistics
- Implementing, enforcing, monitoring, and updating site-specific health and safety plans
- Delivering site-specific safety orientations and ensuring personnel undergo orientation before entering the site
- Maintaining site-specific logs of inspections, meetings, infractions, and mitigating measures
- Assisting with maintenance of the company's quality management system
- Working with the safety department on various business development initiatives
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2-4 years of safety experience in the construction industry
- CHSC or CRSP designation or similar
- Knowledge of current legislation and regulations in Atlantic Canada
- Knowledge of safe work practices required for execution work and operation of equipment
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs for construction site equipment
- Possess a working knowledge of the MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to lead and work with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license considered an asset
