Overview of the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing and bulk format finishing/packaging of cheese in accordance with established standards and safety objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate all production equipment as per standard operating procedures to ensure the highest quality product possible.
  • Responsible for receiving of raw materials such as incoming milk, UF Milk, cream, secondary culture, and whey.
  • Record all required data and inventory entries with a high level of accuracy.
  • Understand the disassembly & assembly of cheese production equipment.
  • Assist in the manufacturing process and cleaning process as required.
  • Ensure that safe conditions exist always within the work environment; will take appropriate action to protect the health and safety of employees and comply with all requirements as stated in the Health and Safety policy.
  • Full participation in the HACCP program and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective use of equipment and material resources.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, results oriented and possess high degree of initiative, and work well with minimal supervision.
  • Must be available to work various shifts, weekends, and work overtime as required.
  • Demonstrate ability to use computer software and programs.
  • Proficiency and dependability in current position.
