Job Summary

JAKU CONSTRUCTION is seeking a skilled General Supervisor to oversee construction projects and supervise workers. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare production and other reports to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions to maintain a skilled and efficient team.
  • Train or arrange for training to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
  • Prepare bids and estimate costs and materials to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Set up equipment and ensure health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Recommend personnel actions and establish methods to meet work schedules to optimize project efficiency.
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in construction.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a noisy environment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 32 to 35 hours per week.
