About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned IT professional to join our team as a Senior IT Systems Architect in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead the migration of our legacy AS400/IBM i system to a modern platform. With over 10 years of experience in programming languages, system architecture, and database management, you will bring your expertise to design, develop, and implement custom technology solutions that address operational and organizational challenges.

As a key member of our team, you will assess existing systems and processes, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for solutions. Your strong analytical and critical thinking skills will enable you to work efficiently with minimal supervision, while your proactive approach will ensure timely completion of projects.

About the Job Description

The successful candidate will have a Degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study, along with extensive experience in RPG programming, AS400/IBM i operating systems, and DB2 database management. Strong knowledge of ERP, Billing systems, CRM, Order management, product catalog, and field management system configuration is also an asset.

Additional requirements include proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Node.js, SQL, HTML, and CSS, as well as experience with integrated development environments (IDEs), version control systems (e.g., Git), project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira), collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack), and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) API gateway services.

You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively document, retain, and communicate standards, plans, policies, and business processes.
