Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team at Port McNicoll-area. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities


  • To provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RN.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered.
  • Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in nursing practices.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote resident autonomy and independence.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support the delivery of quality care and services.


Requirements

To be successful as a Nurse Care Specialist at RhynoCare, you will require:


  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing long-term care facilities.
  • Medical Clearance (including TB tests).
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
  • Clear Criminal Record check.


Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, pension plan, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
