Job Title: Developmental Service Worker

Momentum is seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team. As a Developmental Service Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide suicide and crisis intervention to clients
  • Resolve conflict situations and maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses
  • Assist clients with special needs and accompany them to appointments and social outings
  • Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
  • Criminal record check and medical exam
  • Valid driver's licence and own transportation
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment and work under pressure
  • Physically demanding and requires lifting up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
