Disability Case Manager II

We are seeking a highly skilled Disability Case Manager II to join our Group Benefits team at Co-operators. As a Disability Case Manager II, you will be responsible for adjudicating and managing early intervention, short-term, and/or long-term disability claims, including those of a complex nature.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess eligibility for disability benefits and develop case management plans.
- Communicate with claimants, employers, third-party treatment providers, and physicians to ensure accurate and timely claim processing.
- Proactively manage claims to minimize disability periods and successfully return claimants to work.
- Utilize available resources to ensure appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
- Ensure compliance with recommendations and participation with rehabilitation interventions.
- Initiate assessments such as independent medical examinations, functional capacity examinations, or surveillance when necessary.
- Post-secondary degree in Kinesiology, Psychology, Disability Management, or a related discipline (an asset).
- Associate, Life and Health Claims (ALHC) designation (an asset).
- 3-5 years of related experience.

Expected Salary Range: $57,375 -- $95,625
