About the Opportunity

The Bank of Canada seeks a highly skilled professional to fill a critical leadership role in its Internal Audit function. This position offers an exceptional chance to contribute to the bank's vision of being a leading central bank, dynamic, engaged, and trusted.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a member of the audit leadership team, you will be responsible for governance, risk, and controls for the Information Technology Services and Corporate Services portfolios.
  • You will develop relationships with business unit management to identify assurance and advisory needs and lead a team of auditors to provide meaningful insights.
  • Support the development of risk-based audit plans and manage day-to-day execution of audit activities.

Requirements

  • University degree in business, computer science, or engineering, with a minimum of seven years of direct work experience in auditing or providing advisory services.
  • Professional accreditation in one or more disciplines focused on IT/security auditing, risk management, or controls, such as CISA, CIA, CPA, CISSP, CGEIT, CRISC, CISM, CRMA, or CCSA.

Benefits and Compensation

  • A competitive compensation package, with salaries ranging from $147,752 to $173,825 (job grade 19).
  • Incentives for successfully meeting expectations, including 7-10% of base salary and additional performance pay up to 5%.

Location and Culture

The successful candidate must live in Canada, within reasonable commuting distance of the Bank of Canada office. The bank offers a hybrid work model, allowing employees to telework from home for part of each month and work on-site at the office a minimum of eight days per month.
