About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Daycare Program Assistant to join our team at Family and Children's Services Niagara. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 18 months to 12 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes child development in all areas of the program.
  • Carry out daily routines such as toileting, preparing and serving snacks and lunches, and directing children to maintain the general tidiness of the playroom.
  • Ensure adequate sanitary and housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • Perform duties such as answering phones, checking the daily log, and documenting messages and record parents' inquiries.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education or the equivalency as approved by the Ministry of Education.
  • Valid Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • Minimum 1 year previous experience working in a daycare setting required.
  • Valid Standard First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • A valid G Driver's License and access to a reliable motor vehicle with appropriate liability insurance are required.
