Corporate Director, Data Management

The Foothills School Division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Services to provide temporary support in leading the Financial Services department. As the Interim Director, you will work closely with the Superintendent of Corporate Services/Secretary Treasurer to facilitate your integration into the role.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to ensure the Division's financial and accounting systems operate within professionally acceptable standards.
- Liaise with external auditors and Alberta Education to ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Provide timely and accurate financial data and analysis to schools, departments, and the Executive Team.
- Lead the Financial Services Department to ensure quality financial and accounting practices.
- Establish team goals, provide meaningful performance measures, and motivate and mentor staff.
This position requires an accounting designation (CPA) plus at least five (5) years of directly related financial and auditing experience in a public or large financial organization. Experience working in the education sector is preferred.
